These bracelets, my mother used and swore they worked for her very arthritic hands.  Her fingers were crooked from arthritis and years of sewing.  The last years of her life she had to use a pair of pliers to pull her needle through the quilt she was quilting.  Perseverance was the only way she was able to do it.  Then she read somewhere that magnetic bracelets would help her.  She tried them and they worked on the pain, whether it had to do with her mind or actually the magnetic effect it worked.  I have made some and they are here and available for sale.

It is 7 inches long and has black stone in the center of eight hematite magnetic beads. Necklaces added today

I made these necklaces from beads I had purchased a couple of years ago.  My jewelry making ability has improved over the years. My advice to anyone starting out is to have patience.  It takes some time to learn different things, such as, "crimping" the clasp on.  Crimping is one of those things which take awhile but once you finally "get it" you get it.  I found the hardest part to be making sure the elastic or wire is in the correct place so it crimps flat.  There are still times I need to redo the crimp.  I have to remember to have patience with myself also.  There is no right or wrong way to do it, everyone has to find their own way which is comfortable to them. 

I have since taken most of my earlier pieces apart and reused the beads for other projects or I would post some of them here.  If I do find one I will include a picture in a future blog post.  For now I want to post the pictures of the necklaces I have made.  Hope everyone enjoys them.  As always they are available on eBay at the link .

How I started making bracelets

Years my mother sent me these beaded bracelets, which I put into the drawer.  There were three of them one green cat's eye, one brown tiger's eye and one orange cat's eye.  They came with a paper with the meaning of each one that has since been lost forever.  Every time I would feel lonely or sad or lost I would get them out and wear them, somehow they made me feel better and happier.  When life handed me a curve ball and I moved back with my mom I wore them most of the time.  At that time I was working with food and the elastic hanging from them would hang into the food so I could not wear them.  I decided to make them bigger and needed more beads.  Thus started the obsession which started with bracelets, and has since moved on to all types of jewelry.
